A Critique of Empty Words

by Gabriel Mizrahi on September 13, 2012

My latest piece in The Huffington Post rebuts an argument by Mark P. Barry, an “independent Asian affairs analyst,” that the end of North Korea is nigh. It is not.

Mr. Barry: A quick HR change, a hot new wife and a concert in Pyongyang featuring Disney characters does not a revolution make. This is a world of its own. Best to embrace that (inconvenient as it is) before smattering half-baked prognostications all over the Internets. I’m reading them, you know.

But yay for the law allowing women to ride bicycles in North Korea for the first time in 20 years! Progress!
